Low fertility rates and economics – any solutions?

A problem in many industrialized countries is the so-called “fertility below replacement.” This means that women have, on average, less than 2. Children over a lifetime. This leads to serious economic problems because a small population of young non adequetly can support a large elderly population. In recent years, the Population Division of the United Nations (UN official statistical analysts) has sounded the alarm about fertility below replacement, which require solutions to help countries experiencing economic problems. What do you think we should do about it? It is a very real problem, which can be approached from different angles. I am eager to hear some ideas diferentes.Voy leave a source of a press release from the UN, but I warn you, reading is incredibly annoying. But not to hear “this is not true, prove it.” What I offer: http://www. United Nations. org/News/Press/docs/2003/pop850. doc. htm

Hmmmm. . . This points to debate the immigration factor. Should we allow immigration into this country for those who have talent and can add to our prosperity económica.Creo that economic prosperity is a low birth rate. It has been repeatedly proven in the least historia.Por this country is not exactly the same position as Japan and Italy.

Some countries are paying people to have babies. It is a fact that the best economic situation, declining birth rates. Personally, I do not worry too much, since things tend to take care of them.

Having children is just a lifestyle choice and egoísta.Evite live life to the fullest!

S Shriners right. Part of the reason that Japan is so lacking in children because they do not allow the young and fertile in other countries to migrate. Moreover, with better medical care in recent years, almost everyone has a solution superior.La life expectancy is to encourage, not bribes, people without children to have more children and give them incentives not funded by taxpayers to do so. For example, employers could do more to highlight how to allow the balance between work and family, and care for those days could use some mejora.Por course, all the incentives in the world n was unable to do my race, but that’s just me.

Hey, you know what? Your information is seriously out of date. I have to go shopping so just state that “The lowest fertility rates in Europe are in countries of Eastern Europe economically disadvantaged – the rich Western countries. People do not have children when the future is uncertain .- France has succeeded in increasing the birth rate low-Sweden made all the birth rate the lowest in the world is demásEl South Korea (status of women is low). There was a direct correlation between the situation of women and the birth rate. The higher the status of women (Sweden), plus the birth rate. The bottom of the Status of Women (South Korea) to lower the rate of article natalidad.En (listed below): There are two “Europes” Europe and Greece “post-communist countries in Central and Eastern Europe has reached the same point by another route. Under communism, factories often provide free care children and higher wages for parents of large families. But when communism collapsed, these policies have disappeared. In combination with economic uncertainty, this post sent nations fall into an unknown territory, with rates of fertility were even more pronounced in the Mediterranean. “Western Europe” France is one of the three European countries with a fertility rate above replacement level magic (Denmark and Ireland are the others) . f you consider the late pregnancy, is that 16 European countries, with a total population of 234m, now have fertility rates of 1. 8 or more. Half are above 2. 0. Despite nearly panic on “inevitably” declining population, and in some European countries are developing very quickly. They are rare examples of bucking the trend, as countries become wealthier, its birth rate cae.Tampoco is simply a question of ensuring a minimum of parental leave in Germany, with generous provisions, would have many babies. On the contrary, the evidence suggests a series of measures, often designed to achieve other social objectives, increase the birth rate almost as a side effect. These measures include a flexible education system (so parents can return to school after having children), flexible hours and if the Scandinavian countries is anything to go by, a strong emphasis on equal sexos.Todo this is one world from another rich country with a population growth: America. Much of the debate in the United States focuses on the role of marriage and the traditional family in the promotion of a healthy society. In Europe, however, only countries with many births outside marriage and high turnout of women have relatively high birth rates. Those who have tried to maintain traditional family ties have been the collapse of the fertilidad. Los Europe began the process of recovery. Compared with the United States, including the continent’s growth rates have low fertility and a high degree of dependence. But if Europe has a demographic future is in Great Britain, France and Scandinavia, and not through the Atlantic. “Population levels are affected by: – The birth rate, mortality, immigration levels, levels of emigration

I think it’s a good thing. I do not care if it hurts the economy, the planet can not sustain a growing human population. It simply does not work. We must stop the multiplication of the time, and if the system can not manage the economy, it is the fault of the economic system or the fault of us indulge your hands in the first lugar.Permitir more immigration, such time? not. This is not really my thing. All I know is that he can not sustain our current (to the extent that population, consumption and conservation to go) for a long period.

  8. RoVale says:

Countries have birth rates have not high rates of infant mortality. This is the main reason for the high birth rate in developing countries. Many children born will not live to their fifth birthday and not only that, these countries also have a lower life expectancy. Many adults do not live beyond 40.
