Is there anyone out there who has had their first baby after 35 and can answer some questions and concerns?

Tuesday, December 14th, 2010

I’m 34 and I don’t feel now is a good time to become pregnant. I’ve been dating the same guy for over 7 years but we’ve been living apart lately and have been having problems. We are both financially unstable. I have some personal issues that I need to work on before considering pregnancy. I am adopted and I really want a part of me, does that make sense? I know no one w/ the same genes or that has my hair, my nose, my laugh, you get the picture. I’ve been told that I may have endometrosis but I can’t do anything about it because of the cost. I know if I wait much longer that I will have to have fertility treatment which is so costly and I can’t afford it. Is it possible to have your first child at 40? I feel in 5 years that I may be ready. Or should I just try to get pregnant now? I really need advice. My Mom said if I got pregnant that she wouldn’t help but I KNOW she would but it’s not fair since she’s 67 and already helping me!

I’m ovulating, and still not pregnant after 10 months?

Tuesday, December 7th, 2010

I’m at a good fertility age (21 almost 22) and I’m doing every single thing I can be doing.

- I temp every morning
- I chart
- I use OPKs
- I check my CM daily
- I BD around the time I ovulate

I know I’m ovulating every month, but nothing’s happened for me at all. I do have irregular cycles (between 32 – 40 days.) I’m scared to hit the 1 year mark because I know that puts me into the category of infertile.

What could possible medical problems be for me?

Could I Finally Be Pregnant After Trying Almost Four Years TTC???

Tuesday, November 30th, 2010

This is what my life has become. Please…bare with me. I live 60 miles from the closest town in any direction. I have no access to a pregnancy test until FRIDAY! The suspense is killing me!

My LMP was 11/11/07. The time before that was 10/12/07…see a perfect 30 day cycle. Sometimes I begin spotting between days 28 & 29…but it is generally 30 days. SO…today would have been day 30.

My face is broken out! I am EXTEMELY moody-bad! Which COULD be PM symptoms, I know. Except, There is no pink tinge anywhere when I wipe. Even when trying to see some. It is killing me. I want to tell my hubby…but I really don’t want to jinx it.

I guess I am just a desperate woman…looking for some encouragement. I am 30, and my husband is 40. We have been testing, charting, trying for four years come March w/ not so much as a glimmer of possiblity. Due to our jobs and location-diving deeply into fertility expertise just is impossible.

Please…give this desperate woman hope!
****WARNING*** TMI coming up for some…

The pinkish tinge I am talking about is now. Usually a day or two before AF shows up…there will be signs of pink when I wipe…just a nice little reminder from Mother Nature that Aunt Flo is on her way…before my period actually starts.
***WARNING*** TMI warning #2

Okay…on advice from a friend of mine who is an RN I inserted a tampon, and then removed it. There was a slight pink tinge. Which means…another year past without conceiving. Thanks everyone! (crying…again)
Thanks again for the imput. Honestly…because of our fertility issues…we have resolved that the possibility of pregnancy is as low as the probability. We are okay with it…it just gets sad and disappointing when there is any little suspicion that is disproved! Thank-you! I do appreciate it all!

Q about semen after intercourse?

Tuesday, November 23rd, 2010

This is a lot of personal information… If you can’t handle it, move on to the next question. I want serious answers only please.

My husband and I have been TTC for 13 months. Even back when I was on the pill a couple years ago, as soon as he “finished”, I’d hop up and get to the toilet as soon as I could because it would just leak right back out. I have always been afraid of UTI’s (even though I’ve never had one…), so I’d go pee straight away & I’ve always done that.

I saw my doctor for an annual exam back in May and my husband had a semen analysis done that week as well. His count is good (213 million) and his morphology is good (90%), but his motility was quite low (40%). She suggested we try for 16 months before I have invasive & expensive fertility testing done.

I’m supposed to ovulate tomorrow or Friday, so we’ve been using Pre-seed this week. =) I’m actually really excited about it because it got wonderful reviews from couples in our situation.

But I guess my question is really this: Has my getting up & peeing right away diminished our chances every month? Am I doing more harm than good by doing this? Am I just getting rid of all the sperm before it has a chance to do its thing? I noticed that Monday when we used the Pre-seed and I laid in bed for about an hour afterwards, nothing came out when I used the bathroom. And then this morning, I laid in bed for about 5 min afterwards and a little came out, but not the usual amount. Thanks!

I was going to start BBT charting this month, but I ended up getting an upper respiratory infection and running a fever for a week and a half.
It’s not a matter of being like, “Wow, I have to pee!” I only do it because it leaks out onto the sheets if I just lay there. Is that normal? Because in movies, people always fall asleep in each other’s arms and wake up the next morning & still don’t pee… Is that unrealistic or am I messed up?

Anyone naturally conceive their first after age 30?

Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010

I just read an article on the myths of infertility and one of the “myth” was that women are fertile until the age of 40 years. The “truth” is that fertility begins to decline at age 30, after more radical than 35 years, and his descent from there all. I’m 31 and have been TTC for almost five years. I have seen doctors, had all the tests, etc., and now I have a problem with my man on. Anyone know if I first conceived naturally after 30 years? I still have some hope I still had some years left before time to leave.

Was it possible to have our biological baby after …?

Tuesday, June 8th, 2010

It was nearly six years since we married (my wife and me). After two years of our marriage I was pregnant, but not delivered because of the unexpected increase in pressure when she was eight months pregnant. We have since tried to take another, but did not. Its cycle is seldom appears, perhaps at intervals of two or three months and also in the range of two weeks (but only once). That day, he has never seen a cycle over the last four months. We consulted with our doctor, one of the best doctors in the country in which we live, many times. treated all fertility treatments including Best (injection), but without success. We insist that our baby organic. This problem seriously disturbs us, especially the frustration coming to my wife. I raise issues such as the adoption of the force, but she resists. Now I’m 39 and she is 40 and we love each other. How can we have our biological child after …. ? Does anyone have experience with this guy? Are there any technologies that help us? Please …. please help … …. .

How long did it take to conceive after ending Depo-Provera?

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

I must make a choice. Anyone who has finished shooting and are now ready to have children when I am 32 or wait until my first child when you 40.Acabo turned 30, I’m alone, and my OB is concerned about my fertility . I was on Depo for 6 years because of severe cramping. The doctor told me it could take up to 3 years after stopping taking design. She said she wants me to be ready when I found the perfect man. . . and not have to wait. (He wanted a baby since I was 15, just want to get married first – but I have no problem with a single parent.) Seeking someone to help me with this big decision! I started taking the pill when I was 14, I fainted because of my pain. After 6 different recipes, I asked to be put on Depo – pills did not work then. Perhaps now, as diferente.En have a doctor about my bone density has a bone scan done last year and the doc said it was excellent.
