I’m just curious. I’ve heard of religions being against a lot of medical practices and advancements like abortions (of course) and life support because they believe it’s going against “the Word of God”. But I’m just wondering if those same religions are against assistance in things like fertility?

If their belief against life support is that “it’s God’s Word…He says it’s time for you to die”…then wouldn’t that same philosophy lead to the belief that “it’s God’s Word…He intends for you to not have any children”? How could you believe one and not the other?

Which specific religions follow those beliefs (anti-life support, anti-fertility assistance)?

I’m 34 and I don’t feel now is a good time to become pregnant. I’ve been dating the same guy for over 7 years but we’ve been living apart lately and have been having problems. We are both financially unstable. I have some personal issues that I need to work on before considering pregnancy. I am adopted and I really want a part of me, does that make sense? My Mom said if I got pregnant that she wouldn’t help but I KNOW she would but it’s not fair since she’s 67 and already helping me!
