First I would like to state that I am NOT wanting to get pregnant at this time. I was just recently diagnosed with PCOS and to be honest the thought of not being able to have children scares me! What are the possibilities of a woman with PCOS becoming pregnant WITH OUT fertility drugs and are there any ways to increase the chances of pregnancy?
Lets say she is young, fertile, and healthy. She needs money to help support her family, and a fertility clinic is offering her up to 8,000 bucks to collect one cycle of eggs. Is this morally wrong in your opinion? And what is your religious stance?
I found out that the standard fee is 3,000 dollars. For college educated (intelligent) and pretty young women it cam be thousands higher. Some earn up to 10,000 per donation.
The goal is to be pretty and smart enough to be chosen for donation. Lets assume the woman is in this case. (By the way Donna, you can sign up at your local fertility clinic. Whether or not you -as an individual- will earn that much is up to your own genes.)
My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant since June 08′, So far we have been unsuccessful. We saw a fertility doctor who tested to see if my tubes were open. It turns out only my right tube is open. This will be our 2nd month on clomid used as a fertility enhancer. We begin ovulation approximately 14days after menstrual which would be on the 16th of this month. I feel the cramping from ovulation beginning but only on the left side. The side that is closed. My concern is that I have been documenting the cramping for 3 months now, and every month its on the left side. What does that mean? Do I not ovulate on the right side or does it not matter what what side im cramping on.
Im curious because rumor has it that woman’s ovulation alternates every month from left to right, and a sheer sign of which side you are ovulating on is the side in which is cramping. Is this info correct.

I am a 22 yr old, and have mild PCOS with no other fertility conditions. I have been pregnant before but because I was taking powerful antibiotics, I had a miscarriage.
I was wondering if their are more narrow studies on how well Clomid works. I know that the all around averages it that 40% of women will get pregnant after 3 months of Clomid but a lot of different people take Clomid. Women who have serious fertility issues, or women who have edometriosis along with PCOS.
Anyone have those answers for me? Even if it’s just speculative. It would be great to know what someone like me would get out of the first month of Clomid.
